Chromatographic Separation and Purification System
As far as the small molecules are concerned, Sunny has developed a highly effective liquid chromatography system tailored for separation and purification. As the stationary phase with different affinities for different compounds are varied, the separation and purification system could be customized to meet individual requirements.
Additionally, the chromatographic system is very powerful especially for drug preparations leveraging materials from natural resources. When adopting simulated moving bed (SMB), this technology could also fit well with commercial-scale production.
Regarding the macromolecules such as polysaccharides, peptides, or proteins, Sunny offers advanced tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems. These systems leverage dialysis membranes of precise pore sizes to facilitate the purification of large biomolecules.
Furthermore, our capabilities include size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) coupled with refractive index detector (RI), which is instrumental in determining impurity profiles and average molecular weights. To enhance accuracy, SEC-RI can be further combined with multi-angle light scattering (MALS) to enable absolute molecular weight determination with high precision.
